Backhaul links bring the internet connection to a remote location, where the internet signal is distributed by a Wireless Internet Services Provider (WISP). A backhaul link is a mission-critical point-to-point link by WiFi bridge: The link is make with two high-end WiFi bridges, pointed toward each other. The bridge consists of a parabolic dish antenna connected to a bridge radio by an RP-SMA extension cable. Ubiquiti’s Rocket and RocketDish combination is an example.
